BRASS ROUND BAR
John Hood’s extensive stocks of brass round bar covers a wide variety of sizes from 1/16” to 8” diameter. We can also provide brass wire in types ranging from 26 swg to 1/4” diameter as well as brass foil in thicknesses from 0.254mm to 4mm.
With a high level of workability, brass wire is commonly used for crafts and decorative items such jewellery. There are numerous other applications such as:

- Switchgear
- Cleaning brushes
- Piano wire
- Ammunition
- Clothing fasteners
Brass foil is strong and durable and lends itself to applications that require reliability in challenging conditions. Telecommunications, electronics, cabling, and computer hardware are among its many uses and it is produced in a variety of thicknesses to exacting tolerances in order to meet specific industrial requirements.
Our brass round bars are stocked in a selection of diameters and a high level of dimensional accuracy is achieved by either lathing or cold drawing the material. Excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion makes brass round bar a popular choice for producing marine equipment whilst the superior workability means that it is ideal for machine parts and connectors.
