Rock Salt

John Hood supplies Rock Salt and White De-Icing salt on a UK-wide basis. Both are stocked in ample quantities, ready for the winter months, and are available at highly competitive prices. 

Our rock salt is of a high quality grade, conforming to BS 3247:1991 and is the same as that used to clear ice from the nation’s roads by the Highways Agency.

Our white salt performs equally as well as traditional brown rock salt. In fact, the superior purity of the raw material means that surfaces are cleaner by comparison, once the ice has been cleared.

Both products have an excellent shelf-life allowing customers to confidently buy in bulk in preparation for the inevitable forthcoming cold weather conditions. We advise that customers order as early as possible as supplies can get low during wintry weather.

Rock Salt and White De-icing salt can be collected same day if required.
